Australia’s ICO Participation
Australia has already selected 10 finalists who will represent our country at the inaugural ICO in Singapore. However, as the ICO Committee of Australia, we recognize that this is a novel competition with challenges not typically targeted at secondary school students. Therefore, we have decided to expand our talent pool and provide additional training opportunities.
Additional Selection Details
Eligibility
This selection is open to:
● Students in Years 7-12
● Year 6 students with strong interest in cybersecurity are also welcome to apply
Important Dates
● Registration Opens: Monday, March 10, 2025
● Registration Closes: Thursday, March 13, 2025
● Competition Rules Announcement: Friday, March 14, 2025, 7:00 PM AEDT
● Selection Contest: A 3-hour open competition conducted at home (specific rules will be announced 30 minutes before the contest)
● National Training Camp: April 14-19, 2025 in Burwood, NSW
Selection Process
The top 10 performers from this additional selection round will be invited to join the National Training Camp for the 2025 season. This camp will provide intensive preparation for the 2026 ICO.
